3-11 Dance and Contact Improvisation (Adults)-$40

Development of movement material is facilitated through a variety of creative explorations.

3/18– Beyond the Canvas (14 and up)- $55 (includes Materials)

w/Ameera Black

Students will use any type of fabric from jean to burlap to stretch over canvas and paint an image from drawings or inspiration; they will then use a variety of materials to add to the piece. Be Creative!

3/25-_Making the clothes to make the man (Ages 12 and up) $60 (includes materials)

Most people think of Hamlet as always dressed in dark, somber colors.  How would we react to him if he was dressed in bright yellow instead? Through this course students will come to understand how a costume is just as important to creating a character as the actor is.  Students will be introduced to then able to practice creating a costume plot for a show, developing a color palate, researching for ideas, online and off-site resources, merging patterns to create unique looks, taking ordinary items and transforming them into extraordinary costumes, and other useful things to know as a costumer.

4/8– College Audition Preparedness (ages 15-18)- $65

Auditioning for college or an arts higher education program? Professional actress Sarah Burton will assist you with your song and monologue choice, materials, and preparation. Limited to 8 students. A great opportunity!!

 

4/29- Art4Healing- Expressing Feelings with Color (ages 10 and up)-$50 (includes materials)

w/Anne Edgin

Participants will create three acrylic paintings designed to express feelings through color. No art experience required

5/6-“Lots of Dots”-Pointillism (ages 14 and up) $55 (includes materials)

w/ Ameera Black

Students will create a pencil drawing from an inspiration picture or photo. They will then use markers to create a full-size pointillism picture just like the late great father of pointillism George Seurat.
